DRDO Internship 2025 Offering

DMRL is offering a 6-month paid internship program for Indian nationals. This program provides a unique opportunity to contribute to significant projects and work alongside leading scientists and engineers in the field.

• Last date for receipt of application: July 25, 2025
• Intimation to Selected Students (by email): July 28, 2025 onwards
• Date of commencement of internship/project work: August 1, 2025 onwards

Disciplines and Stipend of DRDO Internship

The internship is open to students in the following disciplines:

• Metallurgical/Material Science Engineering (Branch Code: MT)
• Mechanical Engineering (Branch Code: ME)
• Physics (Branch Code: PH)
• Chemistry (Branch Code: CH)

Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000 for the duration of the 6-month program. While internships may extend beyond six months, the stipend will only be paid for the initial six months.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the DRDO Internship 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be a final year student pursuing Undergraduate (B.E./B.Tech.) or Post-Graduate (M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc.) in engineering or science.
• For B.E./B.Tech. students, a minimum CGPA of 6.0 (on a scale of 10) in all previous semesters is required.
• For M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. students, a minimum of 60% marks in the 1st year exam is required.
• Students must be enrolled in a full-time course from an AICTE/UGC approved College/University.
• The age limit for applicants is below 28 years as of July 25, 2025.

Application Process

The application process for the DRDO Internship 2025 is entirely online, and there is no application fee.

2. Fill and Scan: Complete the application form thoroughly.
3. Obtain Reference/Request Letter: Get a reference/request letter for a paid internship from your college in the prescribed format.
4. Prepare Documents: Gather scanned copies of the following documents:
   • Filled application form
   • Mark sheets of last semester/year
   • Aadhaar card
   • Reference/Request letter from college
   • Brief bio-data (less than 300 words) highlighting achievements
5. Email Application: Send the scanned application form and all required documents to hrd.dmrl@gov.in.
6. Email Subject Line: Ensure your email subject is “Application for paid internship 2025, DMRL Hyderabad (BRANCH CODE NO:)“.

Important Note: Hard copies of applications will not be accepted. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Important Documents

Selection Procedure of Internship

Selection will be based on merit, which may include an online/offline interview or interaction. Only selected students will be notified about the joining procedures via email. No communication will be made to students who are not selected.

Post-Selection Requirements

If selected, you will need to submit several documents at the time of joining:

• Original Reference/Request letter from college for a Paid Internship
• Original Bonafide Certificate from the College
• Original No Objection Certificate (NOC) from college authorities
• Police verification from Hometown/place of residence (acknowledgement can be submitted at joining, certificate within two weeks)
• Undertaking for adherence to the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923
• Undertaking to follow the IT Rules and Regulations of the Ministry of Defence
• Bank details for stipend transfer
• Original Aadhar Card and college ID card for verification
• Three passport-size color photographs
• Original mark sheets of all previous semesters for verification

Original documents will be returned immediately after verification.
